Channels in Mari is traditional a container for layers, patches and colour settings. You also turn to them to export your result.

Im saying traditional as now with the node graph introduced in Mari 3, channels have become less important. In some workflow cases you can export the result from bakepoints and wire nodechains from one place to another and even share resolutions. But before we dive into complex nodegrahs lets get our heads around channels.
